Reflections from the Team: Gender Sensitivity Sessions

Since September 2019, Ms. Priya Ahluwalia and Ms. Azra Qaisar from Prerana’s ATC team, have been regularly conducting sessions on gender sensitivity with the Prerana Team. The objective was to gradually build an understanding of the various issues related to gender, and its manifestations, and to become more mindful of gender in our interventions. Ms. Madhuri Shinde joined Prerana in 2013 and has been a part of our team for over 7 years now. She is the Superintendent at Naunihal, Prerana’s Children’s Home for girls and closely works with children in need of care and protection.  She coordinates with various stakeholders, prepares social investigation reports and facilitates activities that ensure the holistic development of the children and smooth functioning of Naunihal.
