The following narrative captures the importance of family-strengthening efforts and accessible community-level child care services to secure a child’s right to family. Abhishek’s case was referred to Prerana’s Unnati Project in June 2023 to conduct a social investigation after Anita had approached the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) to admit Abhishek to a Children’s Home.
