In a shocking and horrific incident of sexual assault reported from the national capital, a 13-year-old boy was allegedly forced to undergo sex-reassignment surgery and then gang-raped by a man and his friends. The accused later pushed the teenager into begging and prostitution.<\/p>\n

How it happened<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h6>\n

As per the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW), the harrowing ordeal of Rishabh (name changed) started when he came in contact with the accused at a dance event in the national capital\u2019s Laxmi Nagar locality. The accused befriended him under the pretext of providing him dance training and took him to Mandawali.<\/p>\n

Rishabh, after being taken to Mandawali by the accused, participated in a few paid dance events for some time. However, shortly afterwards, the accused began drugging him and forced him to undergo sex reassignment surgery. After the surgery, he was administered hormonal therapy to accelerate the transition. He was barely 13 years old at that time.<\/p>\n

The DCW stated that after the sex reassignment operation, the accused and his accomplices gang-raped Rishabh and sold him for the purpose of prostitution. They also forced him to beg\u00a0as a eunuch at traffic signals in the city. The accused too wore women’s attire for luring “customers.” Sometimes, they even thrashed and robbed their “customers”. The teenager continued to suffer as the accused had threatened to kill him and his family members if he revealed anything to anyone,\u00a0NDTV\u00a0<\/em>reported.<\/p>\n

Survivor escapes\u00a0<\/strong><\/h6>\n

After the imposition of the pandemic-induced lockdown in March 2020, Rishabh managed to escape from the clutches of his tormentors. He began living with his parents in a rented house. The accused, however, managed to get their address and arrived there in December. They brutally thrashed Rishabh and robbed his parents. Thereafter, they took him back and raped him.<\/p>\n

Police hunt on<\/strong><\/h6>\n

Two days later, Rishabh managed to flee again and reached the New Delhi railway station. A lawyer found him there and took him to the DCW. Following this, police were informed and a case was registered under relevant sections of the law. Two accused have been arrested, police said, adding that efforts are being made to nab others. \u00a0<\/p>\n
